It was so fun getting Amy all set up for her freshman year at BYU!!  Her roommate Kayla is such a doll and she and Amy are perfect roommates!!  They are so much alike and I am SO thrilled for Amy!!  Leaving a child at college is never easy for me and I miss Amy SO much every day!!  I would not want her anywhere else though and she is doing exactly what she should be and I am so happy for her and proud of her!!  She made women's choir and almost made Noteworthy!!  She has hit the ground running, even asking us to send her out her soccer cleats (what??)  I am so excited for all of the exciting adventures that Amy will have in college and how she will learn and how her testimony will be strengthened!!  Go Cougars!! 

Graduation Day

Braces off!!

After 2 years of braces Abby got them off today!!  She is stunning or as the girls say "a babe"!!  She was quite funny how she said how she was has waited her whole life to eat this popcorn (she had eaten some the day before!!) She corrected herself and said well now she doesn't feel guilty.  She is such a sweet girl and I am so proud of her!!

What a great group of youth!! 

Amy has loved going to the Stake Dances since that very first one when she turned 14 and had a dance on her actual birthday and wore that dreadful birthday crown and pin to the dance!!  You have come a long way Amy!!  She has rarely missed a dance and they have only gotten funner for her as her group of friends has grown in the stake and the traditions have grown.  She loves to go to McDonalds afterwards or even during the dance if at times it is not great!!  Amy loves the youth in this stake and has made such great friends who have supported her so much, especially through her senior year.  They have come to every play and all her big concerts and have cheered the loudest for her!!  It has meant the world to her.  She is moving on to bigger things but will always stay in touch with her Oakton Stake friends!!

Cabaret 2013!!!

The last night of Cabaret!!  The tears can't help but come for my sweet Amy!!

Cabaret was so amazing this year!!  How thrilled we were when we saw not only Amy's name on the list but Jenn's name and Michael's name as well!!  We were SOOO excited!!!  Jenn's audition was truly fabulous so I really thought she had a great chance this year!!  Only one other sophomore girl made it and that was her best friend Sarah Overton who made it last year!!  Amy was so pleased to get her own song and a duet with Colin.  Her song was "Back to Before" from Ragtime and it was a big and powerful ballad and Amy was amazing!!  Jim sure knows how to get everything out of Amy.  The girls had so much support from friends from the stake and the last night were so thrilled when the Stake President and his wife came!!  It meant SO much!!  Sister Wheatley is a big Amy fan from girls camp and it meant so much to Amy to have them support her on her big night.  Amy, Colin and Cameron have been together in Cabaret all 4 years since freshman year and it was sad to see it end for them tonight.  Many great years!!
