BoO-iNg!!

Sarah sneaking up the driveway of one of our suspects!

Getting ready to make a run for it!

Getting ready to go!!! The girls are very good at Booing after all these years and now wear their "Hoodies" and sneak up on the houses like gangsters and run off into our dark car and Tom takes off before the girls are even inside the car!! We will not be caught at ALL COSTS!!! It makes me laugh very hard!! We had a very fun time!!

Pumpkin Carving!

Amy with her wonderfully carved pumpkin!!
Amy carving her own pumpkin for the first time... FrIgHtEnInG!!!

More carving and getting rid of the pumpkin guts!

Abby flinging seeds and guts in every direction possible!!!

We decided to get creative this year by making a musical pumpkin with quarter notes for eyes, a half rest for a nose and a whole note mouth! We also made a pumpkin that reads "Jo Bro" (Can you guess whose that is?) The girls (and Tom) had a fun time carving their pumpkins!

Jenn's How To Drama Project!!

I have been meaning to write a Jenn Drama entry for posterity so her drama project was the perfect opportunity to do this :) It has taken us WEEKS to come up with an idea for this "How TO" demonstration in Drama. I have wracked my brain with ideas and suggestions, all vetoed by Jenn with disgust. Now she has had NO ideas of her own mind you!! I had some classic ideas, my personal favorite being that she could show the class how to: Be Joe Jonas' #1 Fan!! We could take pictures of her room, she could take in the buttons she has made with his pictures, all the other shrines to him etc., make a poster outlining her hatred of Taylor Swift etc. Also vetoed!! Finally, I remembered the pilgrim hat cookies and got a thumbs up with 2 days to go with the project! I will post a picture of the finished result.

This is just one of the examples of drama with Jenn. A couple of weeks ago I received a text from Jenn (in the same house) requesting hot chocolate and waffles be brought to her bed as she was cold!! This request was rejected. This same day we spent 2 hours in Aeropostle shopping for jeans (her 1 pair that fit her strict criteria now had a hole in the crotch), we HAD to buy jeans! Her strict criteria is that they have to be skin tight and no flair!! It is impossible to find 00 jeans tight enough for Jenn's liking!! I am sure they are still talking about us in the store as they searched for every pair of jeans in the store for us!! I finally said truly these jeans have got to be better than the jeans with a hole in the crotch!!

One last Jenn drama story is Jenn and her rubberbands on her braces. She does not to wear the rubberbands on her braces and makes up her own rules for when to wear them. On Friday morning as she was leaving for school I asked her where her bands were and she said she was only going to wear them at night because they bugged her during the day. After quite a "discussion" she put her bands in. That night she said she did not wear them at night (did she think I forgot the morning conversation!!) because of the way she slept they would come off and she would choke and die. I said I was willing to take that risk and her last good night to me was "Good night, you will never see me again, I will die in the night and it is all your fault!!" The next morning there were no bands in to which Jenn said she woke up in the middle of the night to see them flying out of her mouth across the room: WHATEVER!!

Jenn is a very funny girl and keeps me laughing and on my toes at all times. I truly adore her and am so glad to be her Mom and take this adventure with her :)

The first Choir Concert of the year was SO good!! I think the Show Choir and the Chorale were the best of the bunch but I may be biased!! Amy with her friends Helen and Lauren!!

The homecoming festivities started at 7 in the morning where Sarah and Amy met at a girls house, and then got to ride over on a hay ride attached to a tractor to there destination, the homecoming parade!!! They fit about 30 people on a float to ride over to their spot they were singing Oklahoma songs the whole way there. Once there, they sang songs from every musical and song writer imaginable, then finally the parade started. Almost everyone got to sit on the float, including Sarah, Amy, and Megan. They sang Oklahoma songs for two hours while sitting on the float riding through the parade!! The girls had a BLAST!!!! Later, Amy got ready for a Homecoming dinner. Amy did not go to homecoming, but she went out to dinner with some of her friends to Outback and had a WONDERFUL time!!! They met at Lauren's house at 6 and took pictures and such and then they went to Outback. They waited outside for about thirty minutes while waiting to be seated, and while they were waiting they saw a counseler from their middle school, Mr. Truncale, on a date with his wife, and they all went over to say hello!!! They had a fun time at Outback, it was Amy's first time going there!!! Amy had some delicious food and THREE Shirley Temples!!!!
