All about Choir Trip to Disney!!!

We had such a fabulous time on our Choir trip to Disney World. I was so excited to go as a chaperone this year, I love and adore all of the kids in choir so much and really wanted to be a part of Sarah's senior trip and was SO glad I was there!! It was a tiring trip, not going to lie, not much sleep, but alot of laughs and great memories made. We left Wednesday afternoon at 5 in the afternoon for an 18 hour bus ride, straight through the night. My goal was to not use the bathroom on the bus the entire time, I was successful both ways!!! There was not much sleeping on the bus, it was really hard to get comfortable and I had a seat to myself, the kids shared a seat, there were kids all over the floor on the bus trying to get a few minutes of shut eye. It was fun laughing and chatting though with Julie and the Van Slyke's who were also on our bus and the time actually went pretty quickly. We got to Epcot at 10 in the morning ready for a full day of park hopping at Disney World!! We decided to head to the Magic Kingdom that day and hit Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on Friday and Epcot and Hollywood Studios again on Saturday, that was our game plan!! Everyone could go where they wanted though, as long as they had two buddies with them!! Sarah, Amy and their friends were also heading to the Magic Kingdom so we met up with them for lunch (I am so thankful they like to hang out with me!!) and they rode a couple of rides with us. I adore their friends, I am especially close to Sarah's friends. I just love the Magic Kingdom, the Castle, the parades, SO FUN!!! We met back at Epcot and headed to our Condo's to check in, yes Condo's!! They were exquisite!! We had only 3 people in ours, me, Julie and Cathy and the kids had huge ones, 2 levels with 7-8 kids in each, they had a blast!! We did not even have time to shower before heading out with everyone for the Concert Choir and Chorale to perform for the judges. The Madrigals performed with the Concert Choir as well. They were both amazing, especially with going on 2 days with no sleep!! Friday was our full day at the parks with no performing!! We headed straight to Animal Kingdom to the Safari with a group of about 30 kids and Dana and Jim. It was a long wait but we had a great time in line with everyone and the kids loved being with Dana and Jim of course!! After that the kids ran off to Expedition Everest and me, Julie and Micheal went with Jim and Dana and Cathy to the Lion King show and just LOVED that!! Then we were off to my favorite park in Disney, the old MGM Studios which is now Hollywood Studios. Michael got his beloved burger and Julie and I got fast passes for Tower of Terror, SO FUN!!! I think it was rougher than I remember!! We also met up with Sarah and her friends who went with us on Rock and Roller Coaster, that seemed faster then I remember as well!! It was crazy fun!! Then all of the kids went with us on the great Movie Ride which Michael can go as also and that was really fun. At that point we headed back to Epcot to get some dinner and start finding a good spot for the light show that started at nine at night. It was fabulous and we loved it!! Amy had gone off with her orchestra friends so I was glad when she met back up with Sarah and her friends. That night the kids got some pool time until late and they had a blast!! We were up and packed and checked out early Saturday morning and ready for more park time and performing day for Show Choir, Mads and Vocal Jazz!! We went to Epcot and raced to Soarin, one of our favorite rides, it is awesome!! After that we did some shopping for our kids as we did not have much time before we needed to head to the secret entrance in Epcot where the kids were going to perform. They were SO excited about this secret entrance only we could go in, it was pretty cool!! Show Choir, Madrigals and Vocal Jazz all did amazing, we were so proud of all of them!! The performing took a few hours and then we went to Hollywood Studios to catch a ride or two and dinner before the awards ceremony where we were meeting at 6:00. Once we got in to the awards ceremony we had a blast there!! Our Choir was the most energetic by far, dancing to every song and cheering for everyone. I was so proud of them. Sarah was thrilled that Dana asked her to be one of the Seniors to accept the award for our choirs!! How Sarah loves the choir and Dana!! Herndon Choir swept EVERYTHING!!! It was so fun to be there and be a part of us winning everything!! SO FUN!!! We were all so excited!! We went from the awards ceremony right on the bus for our 18 hour trip home, full of wonderful memories and great friendships!! I truly love our choir and loved being with my wonderful girls!!
