Williamsburg with Abby!

ME and Abby had so much fun on our trip to Williamsburg with the 4th grade class!! Abby has been so excited about this trip all year long!! We also went to Jamestown and to Yorktown. Abby's favorite was the Lantern tour at night in Williamsburg, then all day Friday at Williamsburg, Jamestown and then Yorktown. We did not have the best tour guide in Yorktown. Of course she LOVED the hotel and eating all her meals with her friends, our lunch at the Tavern in Williamsburg was also a highlight and then the fun shopping we got to do on our own and then touring and seeing what we wanted to. Abby is so fun because she asks lots of very good questions and is very interested in everything she sees and enjoys history, museums and just loves to learn!! It was such a fun trip with a very cute girl!!

Cherry Blossoms

We had a wonderful Easter morning getting up early and going downtown to enjoy the beautiful Cherry Blossoms that are in full bloom right now. We took some yummy great harvest bread with us and some water and had breakfast down among the trees and had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed a long walk and chatting as we went. When we got home the Easter Bunny had left a scavenger hunt for the girls to find their Easter baskets which they enjoyed and now we are getting ready to watch General Conference, a perfect Easter Sunday!!

Lemonade Anyone?

Abby and Jacob were very excited to have a Lemonade stand after our big Easter egg hunt!! They made several very elaborate signs and Jacob was a very enthusiastic salesperson when people would walk by. I am not sure how any body could not stop and get some lemonade!! They were very pleased with their profits and they each made almost seven dollars a piece!! Way to go Abby and Jacob!!

Easter Eggs

We had a great time at our annual family Easter egg hunt and coloring our Easter eggs. We hid over 300 filled eggs and 25 big, golden eggs as those are the most popular so each kid could find 3 of those. Everyone had a wonderful time and the weather was just perfect. The past few years it has been cold and rainy but today it was near 80 degrees!!

Old Town

Sarah, Amy, Tom, and I had so much fun in Old Town yesterday! Abby and Jenn didn't attend, since Abby was at Six Flags and Jenn was camping, but I had a fun time with my two oldest daughters. We went to a fun candy shop that had huge bins of taffy that the girls sampled, and we found my favorite candy, Zotz, and took every last one that wasn't lemon! We went to the dock, and into the Torpedo Factory. We looked in some cute shops, my favorite being a shop called The Christmas Attic. I would have stayed there all day if I could have. We also got some pizza from a cute pizza shop, and then Tom took a very long route home. It was a fun day!

Jenn's Home Ec Dinner!

Jenn worked all day long on her dinner for her Home Ec project. She had to plan the menu, shop for all the food, cook everything and do all the clean up (the clean up did not go quite so well as her parents did help her out quite a bit on that one, that is the worst part isn't it!!) She did a fabulous job and everything was SO yummy!! We were lucky to have Christine over hanging out with Sarah as well and that was fun. Jenn made a garlic bread/spaghetti pie, fruit salad with dip, chocolate chip cookie dough stuffed cupcakes and crystal light to drink. YUMMY!!! It was a fun day and alot work but it turned out fabulous!!
