Trip Down Town/History Museum!!!

The girls by part of the Berlin Wall!!

We had alot of fun on our trip to D.C. We are going in tomorrow as well. We spent most of our time today at the History Museum. We all had different exhibits that we enjoyed the most. The girls loved the hands on stuff the most. The liked seeing Dorothy's shoes from the Wizard of Oz and the dress from Hello Dolly. I loved seeing part of the World Trade Center and the Berlin Wall. We all loved seeing the original American flag that has been restored, that was really cool. They did not allow pictures in that exhibit. We tried to go to Ford's Theatre where Lincoln was shot where they have a museum now, Abby really wanted to go there as they had talked about it at school, but it was sold out for today. We did get a good long walk and some good fresh air and exercise and some great people watching!! We drove around the cherry blossoms and other monuments and had a great time!!

Making Bagels and playing at the Park!!

We had alot of fun playing at the park with the Taylors and the Frederickson's even though it was way too cold for April!!! It even snowed here and there yesterday and the wind was terrible! It did not stop the kids from playing tennis, riding scooters, playing 4 square and running all over the place and having a great time!!

The girls and I spent the morning making homemade bagels. They are a ton of work, but alot of fun and worth the effort in the end!! We ended up with flour everywhere but the girls had a great time and enjoyed finally eating the finished product for dinner last night!! How did anyone ever make bread every day???

Spring Break Shopping/Lunch trip!!

We had a fun time going to the Mall today since we woke up to a thunderstorm outside!! What is with that??? Jenn wanted to shop for a dress for her big 6th grade graduation coming up in June. We were successful at jc Penney's where we have a discount, you can see Jenn holding up her dress, we will have to purchase a shrug for Jenn, don't worry!!! Jenn looks darling and she is pleased, she is a hard sell and Ihave to say, has different taste than her older sisters, a little more on the wild side!!! We met the Frederickson's for lunch at the food court and had a really fun time and then helped Michael pick out a very handsome outfit to wear to his BIG honor roll assembly in a few weeks!!! I can hardly wait for that. I am SOOO proud of Michael and he will look so handsome in his new brown polo and plaid shorts!! It was a fun day today and the girls are having fun tonight with Sarah's friend Serene spending the night.

Spring Break is finally here!!

We are all so psyched for Spring break to finally be here!!! Jenn is not in any of these pictures because she came home from school Thursday and we literally did not see her for 2 days!! She was off with friends for sleepovers, trips to the mall etc.!! She was very happy!! Amy's friend Megan came to Young Women's with her and then spent the night and the next day with us. They had a blast!! Sarah earned some money her first day of spring break helping Sister McKoy grade papers for 7th grade home economics. I took Abby and Amy off for a lunch break at chick filet where they both loved their shakes!! It is nice to not be rushed and not have lessons, practices and especially no early morning Seminary and NO HOMEWORK!!!

A Monday With the Freemans!!!

A day in the life of the Freeman's!! It found Sarah practicing her Madrigal song over and over again "Going to her naked bed!!" the Title got lots of laughs from us, it is a medieval song and naked bed means empty bed, but still good for many good jokes. Good luck on your audition tomorrow Sarah!! I had to get a picture of Amy's typical afternoon snack and her three empty bags of cheezits; that is just the start of her snack time!! That girl can do some eating although we are not sure where she puts it!! And then there is Jenn getting ready to leave on a bike ride with her friends and they decided to wear "nerd glasses" today that they all got together!! Abby and her buddy set up a lemonade stand and were too cute for words!! They were very pleased with the money they made and had so much fun!! It was a fun Monday afternoon in the Freeman house!!! We also had an extra voice lesson for Amy to prep for her show choir audition and swimteam for Abby!! The Mom in the house is weary but there is miles to go around here!!
