Christmas 2013

It has been since Halloween since I have posted so I have some catching up to do!!  I will start with Christmas and just go backwards!!  We had a truly magical 2 1/2 weeks with Sarah and Amy home from BYU and the whole family together.  How I treasure those moments and made sure to take advantage of every second we had together!!  We went to our favorite crazy Christmas lights house and then our annual trip to Krispy Kreme across the street where they hot, fresh donuts!!  We had a fun night out with our dearest friends the Buhler's where we met them at Cici's for dinner and then went to Bull's Run park to drive through the ligh's'ts there.  We had so much fun and lots of laughs!!  We had such a wonderful Christmas Eve, the program, dinner and caroling were as amazing as ever!!  Christmas was perfect!!  The highlight was talking to Matthew and just all being together all day long!!  The day after Christmas we did some serious after Christmas shopping and then went out to lunch at Sweetwater.  That night we went down to see the National Christmas Tree and then off for more shopping!!  We went for a day to the National Harbor ( a new tradition for sure!!)  and had SO much fun!!  Gorgeous decorations, fun shops, and then to a new favorite Freddy's for lunch!!  Then the Shipp's came to town!!  We had a blast going to Great Falls Park, a Georgetown Chocolate walking tour, bowling, partying with the kids on New Years Eve (4 bottles of Martinelli's), New Years Day Paelli and lunch again at Freddy's.  That is not even all their parties with friends, ice skating, sleepovers, RTC, movies, dinner out, madrigal caroling, concerts.  What a wonderful Christmas season!!
