We had a great time last night at our family BBQ at Mom's house last night!! There was so much yummy food and lots of laughs and good times!! The kids had so much fun together and were very sad to say goodbye!! It was fun having Amy Barker and her family there, they are so darling!! We missed Mom and Dad of course!!

Youth Conference Dance/Amy's First!!

This was the theme of the Youth Conference with the Temple theme this year. My girls had so much fun this year and had such a blast at the dance last night!! It was Amy's first Stake Dance and the Youth Conference dances are always the best of the year!! What a great first dance!! Her comment was she can't believe she has to wait 2 months to go to another one, she can't wait that long!!! She had SOOOO much fun!!! Sarah and Amy both said it was the best dance ever!!!

Youth Conference 09

Youth Conference was so much fun for the girls this year. Of course Amy was thrilled because it was her 1st time going and believe it or not it was Sarah's 3rd time going!! It was their Temple themed Youth Conference so they stayed local and stayed in member's homes in the area but we did see them for 3 days. They had such a wonderful time. They spent the day at the Temple on Thursday doing Baptisms and various workshops and firesides. On Friday they did a service project and then went white water rafting which was a blast!! Last night was skits and Bishop's night. Sarah stayed with a member of the Stake Presidency and got treated like a queen and got to sing broadway songs with Pres. Burton who used to be in the Mormon Tabernancle Choir!! She was so thrilled!! Amy had a fun house as well with great girls!! We cracked up how Amy was in every picture that has shown up on facebook today, she does get around!! Tonight they are at the dance and were so excited!! Such a fun time

The cousins had so much fun playing together this afternoon after the swim meet and after Sarah and Amy got home from Youth Conference!! They played some basketball out in the street and then headed to the park down the street for some good times!! Then it was back to our house for some serious guitar hero and foosball soccer game and jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler underneath before heading to the movies to see "Up" for most of the kids!! Sarah, Amy and Matthew are now off to the Youth Conference Dance!! Good Times!!

Swim Meet 6/27

It was a tough swim meet today, it swimming the toughest team in the league, but we held our own really well and I was very proud of all the swimmers!! We had great team spirit as you can tell by all the swimmers cheering in the pictures!! We missed having Sarah and Amy there today, but they needed to be at Youth Conference where they belonged!!

Dinner and Competition!!

We had a fun time last night with the Shipps and Fredericksons coming over for Chick-Fil-et dinner and Phil got his yummy pot belly sub!! We all ate outside as it was a gorgeous night!! The kids then had a very competitive game of lightnening with Amy coming out as the winner the first round and it was between she and Jonathon on the second game, not sure who came out the winner in that one!! These were very competitive, cut throat games with many injuries, not for the faint of heart and yes, a few tears were shed. The game had to go on though!! These are tough kids!! They all had alot of fun!!

We had such a fun time with the Shipps today at the Pool and going to Tortilla factory tonight with everybody! Of course we missed Mom and Dad and Tom who was working. Becky treated us all (and there was alot of us!!) which was such a nice surprise!! The kids all had so much fun together and the adults had such a great time visiting!! I am sure the waitor earned his tip as Abby sent her meal back 3 times and we do like lots of salsa and the kids love their chips!! It was a fun night, even if it was not the same with out our parents!!

The Fashion Show!!

Abby was very excited when Jenn and her friend Alexis decided to use Abby as their model for a "fashion show" Abby is thrilled whenever she is included with Jenn and her friends!! They did Abby's hair and picked out all of her outfits and Abby was thrilled to pose and get her picture taken by the big kids!! She was very pleased with all of her outfits and hairdo's!! Way to go Abby!!!

Last Day of School!!!

The girls were so excited to that school is over for the year-Welcome Summer!!!! It was a bummer to wake up on the last day of school to a THUNDERSTORM and pouring rain!! Not a great way to welcome summer!! I picked up Abby and Jenn and their friends from the elementary school and we went out front with all of the teachers as they waved goodbye to all of the kids. I have to admit, I got teary!! I can't believe Jenn is leaving the school and not coming back, it is sad to see the year end, but we LOVE summer!! We went home and had pizza and brownies and the kids had a blast jumping on the trampoline in the pouring rain until the thunder and lightning hit!! What is with that?? They watched a video I rented while I took Amy over to her friends house for a middle school party. By the time I got back the sun was shining and we changed into our suits to hit the pool before the weather had a chance to change its mind again!! We got a couple of good hours of pool time in which was great!! Jenn's 2 buddies spent the night and are still here partying!! Summer has arrived!!

Amy's soccer team has SO much fun together. They have been together for so many years now and most of Amy's best friends are on her team. They do like to win games and are very good and do not lose very often!! They had a tough tournament this past weekend, they were ranked in the very top division with the very best teams in the region. They won the first game, lost the 2nd 2-0 and lost the 3rd 2-1 against the very top team! They played really well and tough, but most of all they had fun as well!! They are all such nice girls and fun to be around!!

Abby has been so excited for this recorder concert and her "Camp concert" She has been practicing the songs for days so I already knew them quite well!! The 3rd grade did such a fun thing this year, once they were through with all the testing they set up "Camp." All 3 classes did it together and they mixed the kids up and they had tents, supplies, sleeping bags, the works!! The kids came up with camp cheers, menus, made solar s'mores, pudding, went on nature hikes and did all kind of exploring and then lots of writing and poetry and art!! You should have seen all of the amazing things they had done!! Abby came home from school every day just bursting with excitement at all the great stuff they were doing!! Now this is great learning!!

6th Grade Pool Party

Jenn and the rest of the 6th grade class were very excited to head to the pool after school today for their very own private pool party!! They played all kinds of games, took fun pictures with a photographer, had yummy food and got a special visit from the ice cream truck and got to get whatever they wanted!! The only bad part was when one of the parents pushed the Principal into the pool!!! What was with that???
