Saturday's Activities

Jenn with her best buds Katie and Sarah back from a trip to the Mall with their new clothes on and new sunglasses and out for a bike ride and excited for a sleepover at Sarah's house!!


A yummy traditional B.K lunch from Aunt Becky!! This was followed by a very complex game of 4 square in the street!! It was not for the faint of heart!!


Abby at her soccer game. They tied 1-1. Abby is a very strong defender and has a really strong kick. They just can't get by her. She takes all the goal kicks and corner kicks as well because of her powerful kick even though she is one of the smallest out there!! Go Abby!!

Sarah is not in any pictures since she was off with friends at the Herndon Festival and has a great time there riding the rides. Amy's soccer game was cancelled due to all the rain we have had all week long. Abby has a better field to play on so they were able to play, one of the only fields open in Herndon. We also spent the afternoon at the swimming pool, fun times!!

Memorial Day Fun!!

Amy planned a fun BBQ with some great friends from Pickwick Players and they had a great time!! They played Guitar Hero, we cooked up some burgers and took them over to the park near our house and they ate burgers, pasta salad, chips brownie and cookie, as the play said "who could ask for anything more!!" They played at the park and then went on an adventure down to the creek (I don't even want to know!!) and then spent a couple of hours watching the Office. They had a great day!! Jenn went off with friends to Lake Newport and Abby and I went to the pool ourselves!! It was a fun day!!

The whole choir sang the opening number "Freeze Frame" and these are two pictures from that song!! It was so fun!! The kids came running down the aisle's and jumped from seats they had in the audience. It was a great start to the show!!

Sarah receives her Young Women's Medallian

We were SO proud of Sarah tonight with finishing her Personal Progress in Young Women's and receiving her Young Women's Medallian. She has worked for 4 years on this and had so many wonderful value projects and experiences. Sarah's favorites were reading the Book of Mormon all the way through, getting in the habit of reading her scriptures every night, the family newsletter, teaching Abby to play the piano and working with Carter with violin lessons. I loved when she would come and talk to me about different gospel principles as part of a value experience. Those were very special times for us. Tonight there was a slide show of pictures of Sarah as she has grown up and then Tom gave a beautiful talk about Sarah and then Sarah spoke about how Personal Progress has helped her. Keary also spoke and gave the girls their awards and the Bishop spoke. It was such a wonderful night and we are so proud of Sarah and the wonderful example she is setting for her sisters to follow. I was very glad they were all there to see her receive this great award. I am very proud of the great choices Sarah is making!!

Pop Concert #1

Sarah's group choreographed this song and dance!! They did a great job and were so darling!!

Amy's Recital!

Amy did a great job in her recital. I could not get up very close as we had to rush out right after she sang to get her to her 12:30 cast call for Crazy for you, but you can hear her sing. She was nervous singing in front of all the high schoolers who take from her voice teacher!!

Choir Pop's Concert!!!

The Pop's Concert was so great last night!! It is always my favorite concert of the year!! I love the music so much and the fun the kids have. Sarah had 7 costume changes, all outfits she gave me the list for the night before the concert, that was fun putting together!! We were able to find everything though and it was a great night!! I was not pleased that she did not wear the flower necklace and flower headpiece I found in the Beatle's medley though!! It was "lost" was the report from Sarah!! I was very pleased with my find!! I was very proud of Sarah and all the kids, it was a great night!! I will post some songs later!!

Crazy for You-Closing Night!!

The last night of Crazy for You was the best performance yet!! The audience was amazing and so lively and the cast was the best ever and added SO much fun stuff!! The girls are SO sad that the play is over but they had the funnest weekend and have so many great memories!! I got such great pictures last night!!

Crazy For You-Opening Night!!

Opening night was a huge success of Crazy For You!! It was such a fabulous show and the kids all did such an amazing job!! I was SOOO proud of all of them!! I could not believe the dancing that they learned in such a short time!!! It was such a funny show and great music and terrific dancing!! The girls enjoyed going out to Coldstone afterward with some of the cast. They were glad to sleep in a little this morning and ready now for two shows today!!

They got home from rehearsal close to midnight last night so I am sure Amy has more pictures I can post when she gets home from school today. It was not easy getting them up for school this morning but Sarah could not miss AP History today as she had a test and has her big AP Final next week!! Talk about pressure!! Amy is off today with the 8th grade class to Six Flags amusement park!! Fun day!! The kids are SOOO excited for opening night tonight!! I can't wait to see the play!! Good luck guys!!
